I am a British writer with a vivid, powerful voice and diverse life experience that informs my work. My writing explores the themes of identity, travel, and wellness, merging raw emotional honesty with humour and authenticity.
As a trained English teacher and seasoned world traveller, I draw on personal lifelong battles with weight, anxiety and ADHD to write with humanity and insight. Despite these challenges, I am full of energy, creativity and passion – bringing curiosity and a unique perspective to everything I do.
I am currently building my writing portfolio while developing a fiction piece, and refining my skills in editing, proofreading and writing across a range of styles. I am available for freelance work and happy to support others in exciting projects.

I was born in Manchester, England in the early 1980s and moved to London at age 10. My mother was a high achiever who had an impressive career in management, balanced with artistic and musical talent; my father was a creative soul who wrote poetry and articles and loved to learn. As a product of this environment, I was ambitious, curious, and innovative.
I studied philosophy at university and pursued an unsuccessful teacher training course following my undergraduate degree. I went on to work in a high-pressure management career in the hospitality industry until my late thirties. One day, I packed my bags and left London for the Peak District, and this time qualified as an English teacher.
In my forties, I was diagnosed with ADHD. This revelation led me to begin to understand my battles with identity, hypersensitivity, and internal conflict. It helped to explain why, despite my organisation and perfectionism, I always struggled to be healthy and happy.
I am now focusing my energy on building a freelance writing career. I am channelling my lived experience of travel, teaching, neurodivergence and creativity into words. I am a great problem-solver and skilled at turning even tangled thoughts into polished copy, whilst hitting deadlines and communicating clearly.
When I’m not writing you’ll find me at the yoga studio, running, hiking, and playing the piano and singing. I have lived and taught internationally, including in Ghana and South Korea, and I have travelled extensively to beauty spots such as Bali, Goa, and South Africa.
I have a unique voice and an eclectic range of knowledge and skills. Whether I am writing about wellness, travel, education or working on fiction, I bring empathy, originality and energy to every brief.
